AI advice from people who build it.

AI advisory for leadership teams and boards: opportunity assessments, board reports, technical due diligence and market-entry advice from Maveni’s founders.

Most businesses do not need another AI demo. They need a clear view of where AI will change their economics, what it will take to get there and what to leave alone. Maveni’s advisory work gives leadership teams and boards that view, from founders who also build the systems.

Where we help

AI opportunity and readiness assessments: where agentic systems can improve margin, speed or customer experience, and which data, skills and governance need to be in place first.

Board and executive reports: a written view of the options, costs, risks and sequencing, prepared so directors can make and record a decision.

Technical due diligence: assessing the technology, architecture and AI claims behind an acquisition or investment.

Growth and market entry: advice on taking a brand into new markets and channels, and where AI can support that work.

Who advises

Both of Maveni’s founders hold advisory positions alongside their work at Maveni. Will Kerr has carried out M&A technical due diligence for PwC and Deloitte, and brings a software engineering and architecture background to commercial questions. Katrina McClelland has led international expansion for consumer brands across China, the UK, Europe and Asia, and has sat on NZTE panels advising New Zealand businesses on the same path.

Because we also design and build agentic systems, our advice is grounded in what is practical to deliver, what it costs to run and what it takes to maintain.

How an engagement works

Each engagement starts with a defined question. We review the relevant material, speak with the people closest to the work and return a written recommendation with the evidence behind it. Where it helps, we stay involved to support implementation.

Mapping the options

The impact

Leadership teams get an independent, commercially grounded view of AI: what to prioritise, what to defer and what it should return, with a clear record of how the decision was made.

Clear recommendations. Decisions you can defend.
